Family Photography for Busy, Beautiful Real Life

Present. Playful. True.

Family photography shouldn’t feel like a production—and it definitely shouldn’t feel like a chore. Whether you’re wrangling toddlers, navigating teens or honoring a new chapter in your story, these sessions are built around connection, not perfection.

As a mom of two young kids, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera—wondering if everyone will cooperate, if the outfits work, if the images will feel like you. That’s why I approach family photography in Gwinnett County with warmth, patience and zero pressure.

This is your family, as you are. Let’s make something meaningful.

The Process: Booking Your Lifestyle Family Photography Session in Gwinnett County and Beyond

Booking is simple (because life with kids is anything but).

The easiest way to start is be filling out my booking inquiry form which you can find HERE.

We choose a date and time that works for your crew. I send over your contract and invoice (50% secures your spot). You receive a short family questionnaire so I can understand your people, your priorities, and what matters most.

That’s it!

I’ll also provide location suggestions based on the vibe you’re going for (I work in about five different locations most consistently), plus styling tips and guidance along the way. I love when families send photos of outfit options—we’ll make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident.

Connection and communication are what set my sessions apart. Once we’re working together, you have full access to me via email or text. Ask me anything:

✔ Should we bring the dog?
✔ Can I wear the green dress or the blue one?
✔ What should I bring for my toddler?

Yes. I’ve got you.

Jessica is an amazing photographer. She always goes above and beyond to get the perfect pictures. My family has used her three times. Being a mother herself, she is fantastic with children knowing how to get that perfect shot. I will continue to use her to capture snapshots in time of my family year after year. I am incredibly grateful, and will treasure her pictures for the rest of my life.

What to Expect with my child-led family photography in Gwinnett County

On session day, we show up. We breathe. We hang out.

I’ll bring a few simple props if it fits your session, and I’ll gently guide you with prompts that feel natural—not stiff poses or awkward direction.

The sessions are laid back, always child-led when kids are involved. That means we move at their pace, not mine. I don’t rush. We play games, follow their curiosity and give them time to settle in. This is at the heart of my child-led family photo sessions.

So what is child-led family photography?

It means no forcing. No bribing. No frantic posing while everyone melts down.

Instead, I create space for your children to warm up, explore and connect. If your child has sensory needs or specific challenges, we talk ahead of time about how best to support them. I’m a mama too—I understand the pressure of wanting your investment to feel worth it, even if your kid is having an off day.

But here’s the thing: I’ve photographed grumpy toddlers, shy teens and camera-averse dads—and still delivered honest, beautiful images full of connection. That’s the power of letting people be themselves.

If you’re hoping for family photos that feel relaxed, real, and rooted in connection—I’d love to hear from you.
