Whether you’re ready to book or just have a few questions, I’d truly love to hear from you.
The link below will take you to a session inquiry form — it’s pretty quick and helps me learn more about your family and the kind of session you’re hoping for. I take on a limited number of sessions each month so I can give each one the care it deserves and be flexible for all my expecting mamas!
Once your inquiry is submitted, I’ll follow up appropriately with available dates, times and/or your contract and invoice depending on your family’s specific photography needs.
I work with families across Lilburn, Gwinnett County, Athens and the Atlanta area, offering in-home and on-location sessions that feel relaxed, natural and true to you. If you’re interested in a studio session, just reach out and we’ll find a space for you.
And if you just want to reach out directly? Please do, you can always email me at: jessica@jessgracephotography.com
I know planning a photo session can bring up a lot of questions—whether it’s about timing, what to wear or simply how to get everyone out the door with snacks, backups and smiles intact.
As a mom myself, I get how much you’re juggling, and I’m here to make the process feel less overwhelming and a little more joyful. If you don’t see the answer you’re looking for, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to help.
Most sessions happen either in your home or at one of my preferred outdoor locations around Gwinnett County, Lilburn, Athens, Monroe or the greater Atlanta area. I have several beautiful, natural spots I love and will suggest locations that work well for your session type, time of year and comfort level. If you have a location you love, let me know (as long as it’s not some random piece of property that we’ll be trespassing on!)
I do work in studios as well and we can discuss your options if an indoor session is your family’s best fit.
Most sessions are scheduled on Monday, Thursday or Friday evenings — timed close to sunset so we can take advantage of that golden hour light. Sunset times shift with the seasons, and I’ll help you plan around what works best for your family and the time of year.
I do offer a limited number of Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings throughout the year. That said, I’ve learned (the hard way) how important it is to protect time with my own kids — and I’m committed to holding space for that now.
Weekend dates tend to go quickly, so if you’re hoping for one, it’s best to reach out early!
Not much — just the essentials for your family.
I always recommend bringing a few clean snacks (think: nothing sticky, messy, or brightly colored — save the blue lollipops for later!), wipes, a favorite small toy, an extra outfit and anything else you know your little ones might need.
For maternity sessions, feel free to bring personal touches like a sonogram or baby shoes.
For newborn sessions, we’re usually in your home — which is wonderful, because everything you need is already right there.
I’ll bring the styling items like blankets, props and other session tools. In the warmer months, bug spray is a good idea and somehow, bobby pins always come in handy!
If you’re ever unsure, I’m just an email away and happy to help you feel fully prepared.
The earlier the better, especially if you’re hoping for a weekend date (I only work certain weekends so I can keep my own little family prioritized) or planning a newborn session.
• Maternity: Ideally between 28/32–38 weeks (you want to be showing well but comfortable.
• Newborn: Book while you’re still pregnant to reserve a spot (we’ll finalize once baby arrives). Please don’t wait until baby arrives as there is often no flexibility to accommodate.
• Milestone & Family: A month or two in advance is usually fine, but reach out anytime — I’ll always do my best to fit you in. If you’re hoping for fall or spring, when it’s busier, book a little further out.
Welcome to Georgia — where pop-up showers are practically a season of their own! I keep a close eye on the radar and don’t make weather calls until the day of your session (sometimes even just a few hours before). Unless truly dangerous conditions are expected, we’ll usually still plan to meet.
If it’s pouring or unsafe, we’ll absolutely reschedule. But if there’s just a chance of light rain or a passing shower, I ask families to stay flexible — otherwise, we’d never shoot from March to October!
My schedule has some built-in wiggle room, but it also protects time for my own family, so I do my best to only shift sessions when absolutely necessary
You’re not alone — this is a very common worry, and I totally get it. But here’s the good news: my sessions are fully child-led and paced with patience at the center. I’m a mama first, trust me when I say I get it.
Whether it’s a toddler who needs time to warm up or a newborn who just isn’t feeling sleepy, I build in plenty of room for breaks, feeds, cuddles or meltdowns. Honestly, sessions are often 80% waiting and 20% photographing — and that’s okay.
I’ll do everything I can to create space for connection, giggles, real smiles, and quiet moments. But I won’t force anything — not on your kids, and not on you. That’s the beauty of this kind of photography: even the imperfect moments have a softness and truth that make them meaningful.
Absolutely — pets are family too, and you’ll see plenty of them throughout my portfolio. I’m always happy to include your furry friend as long as a few things line up:
If we’re shooting outdoors, the location will need to be pet-friendly. And for everyone’s safety and comfort, your pet should be well-socialized, show no signs of aggression and be able to safely interact with new people (and possibly children, too).
I’ve had families bring a friend along to help with their pup — and I’m no stranger to holding a leash for a few pet-free photos in between!
As long as your pet can be flexible right along with us, I’m all in.
Most galleries are delivered within about two weeks. That said, turnaround times can vary a bit during busy seasons (like fall family photos or the holidays), or if I have travel or family needs on my calendar.
If I ever anticipate a delay, I’ll always communicate that with you ahead of time — staying in touch is important to me.
Your final images will be delivered in a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints directly.
I completely understand the desire to see everything, especially when these moments are so meaningful. But part of my job is carefully curating the best images — the ones that are in focus, beautifully composed and true to the story we created together.
Unedited files (also known as RAWs) include test shots, closed eyes, duplicates and images that don’t meet the quality standard I hold myself to. These are never delivered, and I do not release unedited or RAW files under any circumstances.
The final gallery you receive will be a full and thoughtful collection, a true reflection of the time, care and intention poured into your session.
Yes! I regularly photograph families in Tucker, Decatur and metro Atlanta. Athens, Monroe and all over Lawrenceville, Loganville and Snelville. Travel within 10 miles of Lilburn is included with all sessions — just let me know if you’re outside that range and we’ll work it out. I will add a small travel fee if it’s going to take me 45+ minutes to get to you!
Yes, of course — your online gallery is connected to my professional print lab, Miller’s Lab. I’ve created a curated price sheet just for my families, so you can order high-quality prints at a reduced cost, directly from your gallery.
These aren’t your average one-hour prints — you’ll notice a real difference in quality, color accuracy and longevity compared to big box stores or drugstore labs. I personally recommend the deep matte finish, especially for larger prints — it’s what I use for my own family photos at home.
And when you order through your gallery, a small portion of each sale goes directly back to JGP, helping support the work I do and allowing me to keep offering a more personal, hands-on experience for every family I work with.
Choose your session type and fill out the inquiry form linked HERE. It helps me learn about your family and your goals for your session.
I’ll follow up with available dates, times and location options based on your inquiry. Simply confirm which works for your family and a contract and invoice will follow.
Ready when you are.
If you’re feeling good about things, head on over to the Request a Session form to get started. I can’t wait to learn more about your family!
